The exhibition presents 500 portraits of people shot during the Great Terror and buried on the territory of the former NKVD special facility — the Kommunarka firing range.
People of different nationalities, professions and social origin, both party leaders and ordinary workers — all of them were executed and subsequently rehabilitated.
These are the last photos of people taken before the shooting. There is a unique complex emotion in every expression.
