Polenovo Museum Estate Opens Exhibition “Part Two. The Lighthouse of Life. 1937–1945”
On November 3, with the support of the Memorial Foundation, Polenovo museum estate opened an exhibition presenting the next page of the literary and artistic project 37/101 – “Part Two. The lighthouse of life. 1937-1945.

This year, the exhibition is devoted to the unknown pages of the estate’s history after the arrest of the first director of the museum Dmitry Polenov and his wife Anna in 1937 The exhibition tells about the generation of the “Polensky circle” who were brought up and educated before the revolution.

In the Soviet times, some of them were executed, some went through labor camps or exile, some emigrated, and some tried to coexist with the regime. A unique chronicle “The Polenov family in the whirlpool of events” was created especially for the exhibition to show the story of the family set against the nation’s and the world’s history.

The exhibition will run until April 15, 2019.
