Exhibition
Dneprovsky labor camp. Artistic research
The exhibition presents artworks by Lukiya Murina and Nikolai Isaev, created during the Museum's expedition to the former camp Dneprovsky in Russia’s Far East. In addition, there are some camp artifacts from the museum's collection — a saw, a mug, a homemade pot and others.
The Dneprovsky is the most fully preserved object of the camp-industrial complex on Kolyma. It was organized in 1941 and worked until 1955 for mining tin. The main labor force was prisoners, including those who were repressed for political reasons.
