New Book ‘Grey is the Color of Hope’ by Irina Ratushinskaya
Supported by the Memory Fund, Irina Ratushinskaya’s ‘Grey is the color of hope’ has been published for the first time in Russia. It is a collection of her poems, a copy of her verdict, a manuscript of ‘Grey is the color of hope’, the memoirs, photos and documents from her personal archive. Now the Russian readers can learn about a “strict regime” in a post-Stalin women’s labor camp, prisoners' unity, solidarity, how they fought the totalitarian regime and managed to tell jokes, enjoy their lives and do what they needed to do – stay humans, write poems, articles, and chronicles.
